For those of you who have been pregnant, it’s likely that you’ll feel my pain when I have a little whinge about the fact that as we approach autumn, and the fun of picking out new winter clothes hits; one is landed with a rather large baby bump to clothe. However, rather than shut myself away in a smock dress like the style deprived Miss Haversham of the B5 area, I have decided to embrace all the gorgeous new things arriving in the shops by living vicariously through others and poring over gorgeous campaign imagery.
My absolute favourite so far, being the AW14 offering from Warehouse.
Here we see a lovely, considered palette of winter-perfect colours from soft subtle greys, pink and camel to jewel tones like rich navy blue and a dark olive green. There are smatterings of painterly prints, leopard and even a nice winter floral thrown in for good measure plus a healthy dose of kitten-soft knits and faux fur to boot. Warehouse have even managed to make harling look chic in these shots, no mean feat; the hard industrial setting for the shoot works beautifully against the clothes.
I love the big teddy bear coats in pink and camel, and the overall look and feel for this collection is more than a tad closer to high end, than high-street, if you ask me.
